Avalanche Training

#1 Post by ObiJuanAk »

Another training opportunity from UAF Outdoor Adventures - Free!

"You can also tell your group that we are hosting another Free Avalanche Seminar on Feb 13th. There is a 4-hour lecture and 4-hour field workshop, both held on Saturday. We have not opened sign-ups yet, but have your people put it on their calendar.

Mark"

Anyone who "hasn't" taken an avalanche course yet should attend. I've taken 3 so far and may, time allowing, go this as well.

Anyone that rides in mountain areas should take an avalanche class. I was not the rider that was climbing the mountain, highmarking, I was the one sitting at the bottom with the camera!! Didn't really think about me being the one in danger until the class. It comes around to that one ounce of prevention thing.
