Safety Training: How to survive out there

#1 Post by ObiJuanAk »

I received this from a friend who heads the UAF Outdoor Adventure department. He asked me to share with you:

Outdoor Adventures is again offering a Wilderness First Aid certification course. This 16-hour must have medical training will happen November 21 and 22. The cost to all students is $125. The Faculty, Staff, and Alumni rate is $150. This training is much more than your basic Red Cross First-Aid. The instructor is an avid outdoors person who has guided all over the world, including Denali. Deb will engage you during the entire 16 hours while she covers appropriate care and diagnosis of common wilderness injuries. This is perfect for those students who recreate or conduct research in Alaska's wilderness.

Please come to Outdoor Adventures in the Wood Center to sign-up in advance.

Don't be afraid to contact me for more information.
