Best ride for me this year.

John, I put 8 pics in the 07/08 album. IMO that day was better than the Maclaren trip. I haven't been playing in the mountains for a couple of years. Other than loosing the fuel pump in the pickup, it was a great day. Thank you all for the help. Steve, P.M. me on instructions for returning your dies...

I’ll try to be at Paxon by 0900. If it’s clear I recommend heading for the glacier. Keep an eye on the sky of course. I got caught way up the West Fork in flat light and wouldn’t want to do that any time soon. Two groups are fine. (Cover more ground that way) Let someone know your destination and we...

Thanks Paul,
I am heading down Sat. morning. I plan on leaving Paxson parking lot at 10:00 A.M. So whoever doesn’t make Paul’s 0900 take off are welcomed to group up with me. I have been there many times. I will have a tow behind sled and room to carry your gear.

I can take 4- 5 gallon jugs if needed. I am not bringing gas. I buy gas from the Lodge to help them out. I was offering up the skimmer in case folks pack for a week like I tend to do.

We all have enjoyed a much improved snow condition in the Fairbanks area. At the same time, with the above freezing temperatures in certain areas, mushers h...

I would be at the mine camp, 102 mile Steese. It’s on the right 100 yards off the highway. Two white buildings and two plywood cabins mixed. There is a Yukon Quest banner on the side of one building. I don’t have a groomer yet. I wanted to weld one up but would welcome the use of one to get more ide...

Yes, I went to camp today solo and did some repairs on the cabins. I didn’t take a snow machine. Cut a load of fire wood along the way. Eagle Summit was socked in. Winds were blowing around 40 MPH at Twelve Mile. Saturday Alex from the Quest went with me. I rolled the wide track over twice and disco...
