I couldn't wait any longer and rode 5-7 miles with my sons. We went on the trails near my home on Murphy Dome Rd. Rough! Won't do that again until we get more snow. Fun anyway, but need a foot or so to make it more comfortable.

I've rode the White Mountains the past two weekends. Did the 98 mile loop from Wickersham through Windy Gap last weekend with my two sons, and there was overflow in a number of areas, but all navigable. Not sure if I can go this weekend, but could be tempted.

You can't drive to the boat launch in the winter - except on a snowmachine. We have to unload at the Murphy Dome Parking lot and Tim can lead the way from there.

The road off Murphy Dome to the boat launch is quickest to the Dunbar - it was improved with the fire two summers ago. The road takes you directly to the Dunbar. Also, sometimes there can be nasty overflow on the Chatanika. A nice loop is: - Take the road from the parking lot to the Chatanika where ...

I know it's been stated before so I apologize re-asking the question, but what is the temperature cut-off for rides? Temps are dipping this weekend.
