Ivory Jacks - Chat March 31

We are going to move the starting point from Ivory Jack's to 3 mile Murphey Dome road which is just down Sheep Creek road. Go past UAF to Sheep Creek road, drive 8 miles or so and on the left is Murphey Dome road. There is a large gravel pit on the right side of the road at 3 miles and that will be ...

Ride Report

My co-leader John Lubben must have over slept on Saturday  , so Ronnie from Chatanika Lodge volunteered to lead the nine of us around the 38 mile loop. It was 5 degrees when we left the lodge and about 25 degrees on top of Cleary Summit. There was just enough snow for Ronnie to groom the lower ...

For the last 2 years my wife, along with some local friends and some friends for Kenai meet at Kenny Creek Logde for a 3-4 day trip in March. The ASSA was a pretty good map of the area which was really helpful the first time we went and for $15 it's a must have. If you stay at KCL rent a cabin so th...

So far BLM is only trying to restrict summer users. You know how it goes in 5 year snowmachines will be fighting for our lives.

Looking around for maps, I found on the ASSA web site were you can buy laminated maps with GPS coordinates on the back for Petersville. There are also laminated maps for Big Lake and Lake Louise that you can buy for $10. Pretty good deal so I can find my way back to bed after a long day of riding. :)
