I used to wear jeans over either poly or silk/satin (ladies long johns), I found that in negative temps and sometimes even in the teens, I was cold. Cotton is not good in the cold, proven fact. I wear a light polar fleece pant over a base layer and it is more comfortable and warmer, also helps wick ...

I'm not absolutely sure but would take a guess that the Moneymaker brothers were racing back then. The lack of suspensions makes the race look pretty brutal, amazing how age makes you appreciate a softer ride!

The North Star Fire Department will be bringing out some of their rescue equipment and do a presentation with some valuable advice on staying safe while out and about. Come on out and meet these folks that do so much for all of us!

Shirley says the lodge will be open for breakfast beginning at 9 am. This afternoon it was almost 30 degrees there at 1 pm and lots of sunshine! It sounds as if there are some great prizes for the Pea Pot Ride and there will be door prizes plus some other give aways!! Now, we just need a couple more...
