Was a good ride. 3 of us met for breakfast and rode and we ran into another FST'r on the trail. 23 degreees and light snow. Did about 35-40 miles from the mile 28 trailhead to Moose Creek Cabin to Wickersham Shelter and back to the trailhead. Some trails were better than others but overall it was be...

I'll be there to give it a spin. Do you want to go that late or meet earlier like 0800 or 0900 as was posted on the ride list?

I heard 12" yesterday wet snow mile 20+ Elliott and north. Not much but better than here.

I am planning on going and making a run at it. Can't miss what may be the last ride for a long while.

Pending future updates I see you at Hilltop.

You should have a PM with the details. 6 Year old's attention span is not that long so I can't stay all day and I don't ride too fast with him (like my 370 could go fast). Will advise tomorrow once I have a plan.

Long time no see Doc. Headed to the field next week so I think I will forgo the long run this weekend and spend some time with the family. Since our trail-groomer was so nice to groom the trail, I think I am going to take up the boy and ride him over to the lodge to see a little culture in the form ...

Trip Report: Murphy Dome to Chatanika

Pair of us ran to the lodge from the Gravel Pit on Murphy Dome on Saturday. Was not great but better that I was expecting - melt had evened out some of the bumps so we were able to hit it good and fast. 1 hour and 15 minutes each way. Only questionable area may be the Alyeska Road from the piepline ...

It is about 37 Miles each way. Figure about 2 to 2.5 hours depending on how big the group is (1200-1230ish), if anyone breaks, or how fast the leader goes. As for gas - I don't know what your 800 uses - but you will not need gas for this one - Merchantile is a gas station so you can always top it of...

I've made that run a few times and have it in my GPS (Uh-Oh) but I am not comfortable leading. It is about 37 miles each way.

I'll volunteer to sweep for it if someone takes the lead.

The Fresh Tracks you saw in that direction were ours. Group of three of us ran 11 mi CHSR to Chatanika Lodge for lunch and back today. CHSR - Iowa Dome - Fish Creek was moderate - fresh powder, kind of rough, but better than last year. Fish Creek - Cleary was in awsome shape. Fairbanks-Circle Trail ...
