Re: Anything left this season?

I'll be passing on breakfast for sure, and maybe the ride. My wife is downright begging (ordering?!?) me to finish working on the mustang this weekend so I can get it out of the garage. I mentioned something about this probably being the last ride of the year, but she isnt having any of it.

Anything left this season?

I know ArcticMan is coming up, but is anybody planning anything for the remaining few weeks of snow we are likely to have?

Re: Caribou Lakes, Mar 30th

From Paul R Jr. on Cantwell Heard from a guy that has a cabin down there and just got back. He said there is 2 feet of fresh snow and everybody was getting stuck. Yes! Not something I want to hear.... my sled seems to do "ok" in 3 feet or so. I've never had it anything past waist deep (my...

Re: Caribou Lakes, Mar 30th

Well Cantwell is where I first went snowmobiling a couple of months ago. Though the sled I was on wasn't usable after the "failed jump" so I sat in my truck while my 2 friends went to a place called Honolulu Pass, though I dont know where that is. Do you have a map that can show your "...

Re: Caribou Lakes, Mar 30th

Well I plan to be there, though if more are going, we could consolidate vehicles/trailers to save a little on gas. If I can get my friend to go, he will want alot of "off-trail" time and I am not certain how you plan on running the show down there.

White Mountains

My friend's wife wants to get out on a sled this weekend so we are thinking of heading up Steese to the White Mountain area. Anybody have any tidbits of info for up there? I've seen the Recreation area map that shows the trails and whatnot, but we are looking for some off trail action too. Is there ...

Re: Feb and Mar 2013 rides

Summit Lake on Saturday was awesome. Definitely worth a trip back. There is about a 4-5" top layer that is pretty firm, and 2-3' below that across much of the range. My 128" track actually fared better than the 3 mountain sleds that were in my group. If you break through the top layer, you...

Re: The Wood River via The Flats

Couple of pictures below. First one is where I crashed and how fast I was going when I laid her down... Only cracked my windscreen and broke the key off. Needless to say it was very scary, and the fact I had snow caked inside my helmet only solidifies their requirement when riding. (and buckled...

Re: The Wood River via The Flats

Sounds great. How long do you think we will be out? I have a 1.5gal gas can, and can strap it to my sled, but it will obscure my tail/brake light.
