Re: RS2477 Concerns

Well John I made a few phone calls. I guess we'll see if enough people complain about this and it makes any difference.

Re: Mapping software

Well I finally got to the bottom of the Nat. Geo. Topo issue. The fact is my Garmin 62s is not compatible with Nat. Geo. Darn near all other Garmin products are. Since getting this Garmin unit I've found out that it's a bit of a turd compared to the model it replaces. Sometimes I get the feeling tha...

Mapping software

I'm wondering what people are using for their GPS mapping software. At the present time I'm struggling with Nat. Geo's. Topo 4 and was wondering if there are some viable alternatives out there. Preferably with Alaska maps already included, as I'm aware of some products which require the maps to be l...

John, how would a person make a comment on this if one couldn't make it to the BLM meeting? Please tell me that ASSA is on top of this.

I agree. In my opion this is something ASSA should be looking into instead of trying to get our registration fees increased. This would have an impact on the whole state not just southcentral. :?

How was the road between say, 8 mile and Tangle Lakes? Some years it's pretty brutal with the wind having scoured it bare in that whole section.

I would but I don't have your phone number. Is it listed in the old newsletters?

Trail Blockage

Let's see what the weather is like in the morning and perhaps we could leave from Leroys place and check it out coming from the west. This trail needs to be pushed through one way or another.

Trail Blockage

John perhaps you can enlighten me on this. I went out for a short ride right after the fresh snow and ended up heading west on the CHS winter trail. Upon crossing the bridge over the little Chena and planning on at least getting to Nordale Road I found a barracade attempting to block travel in the 5...

I won't get one. At least not that brand. They do save weight but are too loud, maybe not to you as the operator, but to the public they leave the wrong impression. Starting Line Products has a product line which will take some weight off and are nearly stock in sound levels. It's already happening ...
